University House

University House (ANU) is a members' club and boutique hotel offering accommodation, dining, events, and member services.

University House at ANU functions as the university’s ceremonial centre, members’ club and boutique on-campus hotel/residence serving ANU staff, postgraduates, alumni and visitors with accommodation, dining, functions and member services on the Acton campus.

It runs member and public events, private functions, weekly resident dinners, wine tastings and campus catering, and appoints Early Career Academic Fellows and alumni-focused programming to foster scholarly and professional networking.

Opened in 1954 and noted for its mid‑20th century design, the House was damaged in the 2020 hailstorm and has delivered hospitality from temporary venues (Symposium/Kambri) during repairs, with a projected reopening in mid‑2026.
