History
The Club was organized in 1904, with its first meeting on February 22, 1904. It later merged with the Racquet Club in 1936 and moved to its current clubhouse at 1135 16th Street NW, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Club has a documented century-long history that includes renovations and program development, notably the founding of the Tewaaraton Award.
