About

The Union League was founded on November 22, 1862, as a patriotic society supporting President Abraham Lincoln. The League House was completed in 1865 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. The club has maintained Civil War collections and archives through its Heritage Center and has expanded over time to include multiple companion properties and golf facilities. The League House occupies a full city block (about 250,000 sq ft) across eight floors and contains five dining rooms, an 84-room Inn, a fitness center, two business centers, a library, and a Heritage Center. Dress Code

A published dress code applies across the League House and companion amenities. Unacceptable attire includes T-shirts, athletic wear, and overly casual clothing. Accommodation

The Inn at the League offers 84 guest rooms, including 13 suites, for members and sponsored guests, with complimentary breakfast and access to fitness and business centers. The Lodge at Liberty Hill provides 16 renovated guest rooms, contributing to a total of roughly 198 sleeping rooms across the clubhouses and companion properties.
