Founded in 1906 as a university graduates' gentlemen’s club, the University Club of Toronto occupies a 1929 heritage clubhouse at 380 University Avenue modeled on Boodle’s in London.

The club offers members dining and private‑dining rooms, an in‑house culinary team and sommelier programme, event and speaker series, meeting and business facilities, a ballroom, library spaces, 12 guest bedroom suites, and sports amenities including a 24/7 boutique fitness centre, squash court and indoor golf practice.

History

The University Club of Toronto was founded in 1906, originally as a gentlemen's university graduates' club. It remained a gentlemen's club until admitting women in 1988. Member Accommodation

The club offers twelve named bedroom suites available to members, their guests, and reciprocal-club members at preferred rates. Rooms are equipped with high-speed internet, Nespresso machines, and complimentary water/coffee, with express breakfast included. The check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is at 12:00 PM. Dress Code

The dress code allows smart casual attire throughout the clubhouse, except in areas where specific dress is required. Conventional business attire, such as a jacket and tie, is always acceptable. However, shorts, t-shirts, athletic shoes, ripped or torn clothing, and clothing with bold political or commercial messages are not permitted.
