The Sutter Club

Founded in 1889 with a Spanish Eclectic/Mediterranean clubhouse opened in 1930, The Sutter Club in Sacramento is a private members’ organization housed in a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

It offers member-focused dining (Grill Room, Tap Room, Library), private and mezzanine meeting and dining rooms, a Library, Business Center with phone booths, patios and rooftop event space, plus an associated parking garage.

Events, networking opportunities and private bookings are reserved for members, and the club maintains a dress code with multiple categories; the Sutter Club Foundation exists to preserve the club.

The Sutter Club was founded in 1889, with its current clubhouse opening in 1930. The building features a Spanish Eclectic/Mediterranean style and was designated a Sacramento landmark in 1982.
