About

The Lansdowne Club was founded as a private members’ club in 1935, occupying much of 9 Fitzmaurice Place, which was formerly known as Lansdowne House. The building features a combination of Robert Adam period interiors and 1930s Art-Deco work, and is Grade II* listed. Some historic interior elements have been removed to museums such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. More details about the club's history can be found here.

Membership

Membership options include categories for Town (residents within 50 miles), Country (UK residents beyond 50 miles), Overseas, and a youth category named 1824 for ages 18-24. Applicants typically require a proposer and seconder, or may attend one of four annual applications panels. All applications are referred to the Club Council for election. The club offers 73 rooms and suites, ranging from Single to Deluxe Suite. Dress Code
