Founded in 1865 as the Fitzroy Bowling Club and renamed The Kelvin Club in 1927, the club occupies premises at 14–30 Melbourne Place and purchased the freehold in 1950.
It provides members with social and meeting facilities including a Members Bar, dining rooms, billiards, a ballroom, function and strategy rooms, complimentary Wi‑Fi and dedicated event services, plus weekday à la carte dining and an extensive wine list.

History
The Club was founded in 1865 as the Fitzroy Bowling Club and was incorporated on January 13, 1865. It was renamed The Kelvin Club in 1927 after Lord Kelvin and has relocated over the years to its current premises at 14–30 Melbourne Place, with the freehold purchased in 1950.
