The club runs regular social, sporting and family events, maintains broad reciprocal links with several hundred clubs worldwide, and offers Full (life) and Annual membership routes with specified eligibility and fees.

History

The club was founded on 24 April 1903, with its first clubhouse opening on 6 July 1903. The current purpose-built Georgian-style clubhouse was inaugurated on 23 April 1910. The land was gifted by King Vajiravudh in 1914. It was occupied by Japanese forces on 9 December 1941 and re-opened on 10 September 1946. The club has since expanded to include pools, squash courts, and a fitness centre, undergoing recent phased redevelopments in 2018 and 2022. More information is available on the history page.

The club provides facilities for business events, including bookable function rooms equipped with AV/projector and PA systems, along with catering and event management support for board meetings, workshops, seminars, conferences, and product launches. A wide range of leisure activities is offered, including balut, bridge, snooker/pool, darts, a pipe & drum band, fitness classes, personal training, massage and therapy services, kids' activities, and seasonal family events such as the New Year polar swim and poolside family activities. Sports Facilities

On-site sports facilities include a main 25m swimming pool with lap lanes, a separate kiddies pool, four floodlit hard tennis courts, two international-standard glass-backed squash courts, cricket practice nets, and a floodlit multi-purpose court suitable for hockey, 5-a-side, and indoor cricket. Membership Options

Membership is available in two forms: Full membership, which requires a one-time life payment and provides voting rights for core nationalities, and Annual membership, which is a yearly subscription that converts to Full after five annual entrance fees. Core nationalities include Australian, British, Canadian, and New Zealander, who have designated Ordinary status. Applicants must be 21 years or older, and a refundable deposit and monthly subscriptions apply. Full rates are published on the membership information page.
