Southern Trace Country Club

A country club offering an 18-hole golf course, fitness centers, dining venues, and social events for members.

Founded as a private country club and converted to an equity, member-owned model around 2020, the club centers on an 18-hole championship golf course originally by Arthur Hills and remodeled by Jim Lipe in 2020, with an expanded 70,000 sq ft practice facility and instruction services.

Membership offerings include resort-style aquatic facilities and swim team, two fitness gyms and group classes, seven lighted tennis courts and four pickleball courts, multiple dining venues, and year-round social programming.

The clubhouse also provides indoor and outdoor event spaces, wedding and corporate services, junior development programs, and reciprocal access through Troon Privé.

Club History

Founded as a private country club serving south Shreveport, the course opened in 1988. The 18-hole championship course was originally designed by Arthur Hills and was remodeled under Jim Lipe in 2020. The club converted to an equity, member-owned model around 2020 and has hosted professional and amateur events including the PGA Web.com/Ben Hogan-era Shreveport Open. Social Activities

The club offers a year-round member social calendar that includes dining and nightlife programming, such as live music at Arthur’s and trivia nights. Recreational Amenities

The club features a resort-style pool complex with a lap pool, a 12-foot deep end with slides, and a covered wading pool for children. Additionally, there are two fitness gyms equipped for group fitness and personal training, an extensive golf practice facility and driving range, locker rooms, multiple clubhouse dining venues, and a racquets complex that includes tennis and pickleball facilities. Sport Facilities

The club offers an 18-hole championship golf course along with a large practice facility and driving range. There are seven lighted tennis courts and four dedicated pickleball courts, as well as racquets lessons and clinics.
