Club History

The Royal Selangor Club was founded in 1884 as the Selangor Club. It has a long-established clubhouse at the padang, now known as Dataran Merdeka, and was historically referred to as the 'Spotted Dog'. The club was granted a royal charter and became the Royal Selangor Club in 1984, later expanding to include the Bukit Kiara, also known as the Kiara Sports Annexe.
