The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron is a sailing-focused yacht club, founded in 1837 and recognized as the oldest yacht club in the Americas, that supports recreational and competitive sailing and co-organizes the Marblehead-to-Halifax Ocean Race since 1905.

The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron is a sailing-focused yacht club providing recreational and competitive sailing, sail training for both youth and adults, on-water programs, and marine/marina services for its members. The club was founded in 1837 as the Halifax Yacht Club and was granted permission to use 'Royal' in 1861. It was reorganized and renamed by 1880. The club is recognized as the oldest yacht club in the Americas and has a long history of co-organizing the Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race since 1905, as well as hosting major events such as the IFDS World Championships in 2014. Accommodation
The club features shore-side clubhouse and event facilities, including a dining room and bar, Saraguay House for additional events, and heated pools at both the clubhouse and Saraguay Pool. However, there are no public overnight guest rooms or hotel-style accommodations available.
Facilities
The Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron offers on-site boatyard management with launch and haulout services, including crane operations. Members are required to complete a crane orientation course. Training Programs
