Royal Lake Club Kuala Lumpur is a historic private members’ club founded in 1890 and located inside the Perdana (Lake) Gardens near the Malaysian Parliament. It combines sports and recreational facilities with multiple dining outlets and social spaces for members and families. More details can be found here.

Facilities

The club offers extensive sports and leisure facilities for members, including tennis courts, badminton courts, squash courts, a dedicated table-tennis hall, a gym & fitness centre, an adult swimming pool, a children’s pool, a billiards/snooker room, and opportunities for running and cycling activities. General facilities include a multi-purpose/banquet hall, Teratai karaoke lounge, main library and children’s library, children’s playroom, cigar room, men’s and ladies’ changing rooms, beauty/barber salons, florist services, poolside terrace, and multiple on-site food and beverage outlets such as Pavilion, Batek Bar, The Orchid, Poolside Terrace, Garden Cafe, Cuppa Cafe, Buttery, and Bunga Raya. Residential Rooms

The Club does not list on-site residential accommodation. The General Committee has previously discussed the possible provision of accommodation for affiliated-club visitors, but no permanent member lodging is advertised on the Club website. More details can be found here.

Membership Information

Membership is divided into voting categories (Resident, Outstation, Absent, and Life members) and multiple non-voting categories (Honorary, Invited, Term, Temporary, Members’ spouses & children, Lady members, Provisional members). Members benefit from affiliation privileges with a network of affiliated clubs worldwide, which includes introduction cards and reciprocal privileges. Access Policy

The Club operates year-round with published opening hours for the clubhouse and outlets. Specific facility hours apply, such as gym hours from 6:30 am to 10:00 pm, and tennis and badminton courts open from early morning to late evening. Visitor and vehicle controls include a licence-plate recognition (LPR) entry system requiring registered vehicle details, and guest use rules apply for certain facilities. The Club remains open year-round and runs special seasonal menus and events, including festive menus for Chinese New Year, holiday buffets, and New Year’s and Christmas events.
