Founded in 1896, RCNSS is a historic yacht and nautical club whose 1928–29 rationalist clubhouse is a protected cultural building.
It runs year‑round sailing, canoeing, diving and swimming sections with a sailing school across Optimist, Vela Ligera, 420 and ILCA classes, technification training and major regattas (including the Armada Cup) plus cruiser events.
The club manages summer moorings in La Concha (about 170 buoys) with 24‑hour VHF and boatmen services, outstation and stowage facilities, a bar‑restaurant, social salons, fitness amenities, reciprocal club agreements and programs for children and adapted sailing.

History
Founded in 1896, the current rationalist clubhouse, designed by Aizpurúa and Labayen, dates to 1928–29 and was declared a protected Building of Cultural Interest by the Basque Government in December 2000. Sailing Activities
The club offers sailing programs across various classes, including Optimist, Vela Ligera (RS Feva, RS Vision, Raquero), 420, and ILCA. It also hosts cruising and yacht regattas, including long-standing international events such as the Armada Cup and regular cruiser regattas. Moorage Options
The club manages a summer anchorage field in La Concha, which includes 170 buoys in the bay and courtesy berths for transit boats. It operates a 24-hour VHF radio and boteros (boatmen) service, providing mooring support during the summer season. The club also oversees on-shore stowage/berthing stores, including a Calle Mari storehouse, and a set of managed anchorages historically reported as approximately 130. Outstation Facilities
RCNSS operates a separate shore base next to the Aquarium that serves as the sailing and canoeing school base, featuring changing rooms, storerooms, and stowage. Additionally, there is an off-site stowage warehouse on Calle Mari for members' small craft.
