Raintree Club

Club History

The Raintree Club of Kuala Lumpur was established in 1983 and occupies a 6.2-acre site at Jalan Desa Pandan (off Jalan Ampang Hilir) as a private sports, recreation and social club for members and their families. More information can be found on their website.

Social Activities

The club offers multiple on-site social outlets and programmed social events, including Kenanga Coffee House (poolside café), Lilasari live-music nights, Teratai Bar (English-style pub), a 50-seat Karaoke Lounge, and poolside Cabanas for parties. The club features extensive on-site sports facilities, including tennis courts (3 indoor and 6 outdoor), a 25-metre main swimming pool, a separate children's pool, indoor badminton courts, squash courts, a gymnasium, a basketball court, table tennis, snooker/pool tables, a darts room, and a multipurpose hall. Multiple event and function spaces are available for member hire, including the Cerating Ballroom, which can accommodate up to ~350 for a sit-down meal and up to ~1,000 for grand Malay weddings. Access Policies

Membership applicants must be at least 18 years old. The application process requires completion of a membership application form, two proposers who are Principal Members, identity documents, marriage certificates where applicable, birth certificates for children under 12, photographs, and business cards for corporate applicants. Membership Joining

Joining fees include an initial payment of RM25,000, of which RM1,000 is held as a refundable deposit. The monthly subscription is approximately RM140.40. The club also offers a Term Membership alternative. Details on the application process and required documents can be found here.
