History

This member-owned private island club has been designated a Florida DEP 'Clean Marina'. A major renovation of the clubhouse, which encompasses approximately 20,000 square feet, was completed in January 2018. Following Hurricane Ian, the marina and seawall underwent a complete rebuild, with a Certificate of Completion noted in the club's press releases.

Boatyard Facilities

The marina features 190 wet slips, both floating and fixed, accommodating vessels up to 55 feet with drafts to 4.5 feet. Facilities include limited boat lifts, a vessel pump-out service, an adjacent fuel dock, individually metered 30/50 amp service at slips, shower facilities, a ship's store, and a chart room. The marina is staffed seven days a week and offers docking assistance, with a gated facility and 24-hour security.

Clubhouse Features

The redesigned clubhouse includes fine and casual waterfront dining options such as the Quarterdeck Dining Room, Privateer Room, Dockside Grill, and Portside Patio. It also offers meeting and banquet spaces, a resort-style pool and spa with a sundeck and firepits, a fully equipped fitness center, bocce courts, and tennis and pickleball courts. Additionally, there is a ship's store and a club-owned beach shuttle/catamaran service.

Training and Activities

While there is no formal sailing or certified boating school listed, the marina provides operational and safety support including docking assistance and 24-hour security. The club offers professional instruction for on-land sports such as tennis and pickleball, as well as bocce clinics and organized activities. More details can be found on the marina page.

Cruising

The club has an active Cruising Committee that organizes group yachting excursions, including day, overnight, and multi-stop trips to Florida destinations and the Bahamas. The club-owned catamaran 'Pelican' is used for beach shuttles and charters, and there is complimentary shore shuttle service to Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Park and Barefoot Beach. Members also have complimentary access to kayaks and paddleboards for backwater exploration.
