Oriental Club

A private club offering dining, accommodation, event spaces, and networking opportunities for members and their guests.

The Club, founded in 1824 for officers and officials who had served in the East—with the Duke of Wellington as its first President—occupies Grade I listed Stratford House since 1962.

It offers members formal and informal dining (Dining Room, Calcutta Light Horse Bar, Hill Station & Terrace), private-event spaces, a library and art collection, bedrooms and suites, business facilities (Boardroom, Business Room with computers and video-conferencing) and a billiards room.

Membership is by proposal and election with Town, Country, Overseas and other categories; reciprocal-club relationships and an active programme of societies and events support networking and leisure.
