History

The club's origins date back to the 1960s. The original wooden clubhouse burned down in the 1980s, and the current clubhouse was completed in 1998 as the Marco Island Yacht and Sailing Club. It was acquired by a member consortium in 2001, and a major renovation of the clubhouse was completed in 2024. The Riverside Marina opened on November 9, 2021. Accommodation

The club does not provide on-site lodging. However, it offers wet-slip (marina) memberships and transient dockage at the Riverside Marina, with reservations and deposits required. Rates and utility schedules are published on their accommodation page.

Moorings and Anchorage

The Riverside Marina features 27 slips ranging from 50 to 124 feet, with some slips equipped with lifts. All slips have access to water, electricity, pump-out services, lighting, and security cameras. Clubhouse Features

The renovated riverfront clubhouse includes multiple dining venues and bars, a members lounge known as the Commodore’s Lounge, and event spaces for private functions and club events. Youth Sailing Training

The club provides youth sailing instruction from beginner to intermediate levels, including programs for Sea Squirts, Opti, Intermediate Opti, and 420 classes. Racing

Cruising Activities

The club organizes various cruising activities, including sunset cruises, day cruises, nautical scavenger hunts, and overnight cruises to nearby and more distant ports. The club hosts a year-round social calendar featuring holiday parties and signature events such as the Commodore’s Ball, New Year’s Eve Gala, Christmas Boat Parade, Valentine’s Dinner, and Kentucky Derby party. Ongoing casual entertainment and recurring member activities, including yoga, pickleball, bridge, and book club, are also part of the social offerings. Dress Code

The dress code is described as "Yacht Club Casual." For men, this includes collared shirts or turtlenecks with Bermuda shorts (no cargo shorts) or slacks, with jackets required only for special events.
