Membership

Membership is offered to individuals and families; the club describes member benefits including access to sailing programs, dining, pool, racquets, inn rooms, and social activities. Events Calendar

The club maintains a seasonal events and regatta calendar that includes weekly bay racing, annual Manhasset Bay Race Week, frostbite/winter racing series on Sundays from October to April, and recurring social events such as pool parties and holiday events. Facilities and Services

MBYC operates a waterfront clubhouse featuring multiple dining rooms (Grill Room, Bay Room), indoor meeting spaces (Trustees Room), eight inn rooms for guests, a heated seasonal pool, five Har-Tru tennis courts, and platform/paddle tennis. Moorage Information

The club provides dock and float space, rack and float storage for small boats, and seasonal moorings with club-supplied pick-up buoys and pennants. The operation of the boat hoist is restricted to qualified members, dock staff, or authorized personnel. Seasonal charges and applications for marine services are handled through the club office. Social Activities

MBYC runs year-round social programming that includes dining and themed events, wine tastings, cooking classes, lecture series, poolside dinners and dances, Raft Up dock events, and children's holiday parties. More about these activities can be found on the social activities page.

Cruising Programmes

The club schedules cruising events in addition to club racing. The Ideal 18 program supports day-sailing, cruising, and entry-level racing for members. Visiting Access Policy

Reciprocal privileges exist with a listed set of partner clubs. Visiting members should present a current membership card and/or request a letter of introduction from MBYC’s front office. Seasonal Operations

Seasonal operations include a pool season that runs through late September, winter/fall frostbite racing, and trapshooting every Saturday from November to April. History

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club was established in 1891 and incorporated in 1892. The current clubhouse dates from circa 1929, and the club has maintained long-standing sailing traditions, including a junior clubhouse commissioned in 1984 and a centennial celebration in 1991. Volunteer Opportunities

Sailing Programmes

MBYC offers an 8-week Junior Sailing Camp for ages 9 to 17, a Spinnaker program for younger children, and the Ideal 18 adult program with club-owned boats available for members.
