Kalev Yacht Club

Accommodation

The club provides a clubhouse/club hall (Klubisaal), restaurant, and summer terrace for members and guests, along with shower, sauna, and WC facilities for harbour users. The new harbour building includes changing rooms and public spaces.

Boatyard Facilities

Harbour services include renting berths, organising lifting works of yachts on request, winter storage of floating equipment, and boathouse/elling space in the new harbour building. Basic shore services such as water, electricity, and waste reception are provided.

Moorings and Anchorage

The club serves as a home harbour for around 130–170 small craft, featuring several floating piers and a marked guest pier. Guest docking spaces are available on C-dock, and VHF channel 11 (call KALEV MARINA) is used for harbour operations.

Clubhouse Features

The new two-part harbour building and traditional clubhouse include offices, a club hall (Klubisaal), changing rooms, saunas, a gym/rest rooms, boathouse/ellings, storage, a classroom for the sailing school, and an outdoor terrace. The club restaurant operates on-site.

Training

The club operates a long-running sailing school with year-round groups, offering classes from May to September on water and theory/conditioning from November to April. Training includes classes such as Optimist, Zoom8, ILCA, RS Feva, RS Aero, and 29er. Additionally, certified small-boat captain (Väikelaevajuhi) courses and SRC radio operator courses are available.

Racing

The club is an active race organiser, hosting weekly regattas, annual offshore/open-sea events including the Muhu Väin (Moonsund) regatta since 1958, and major international championships such as the Finn Gold Cup in 2013. The club also runs seasonal offshore series and prize events.

Cruising

The club provides harbour services and berth support for visiting cruisers and organises offshore racing events. It acts as a home harbour and base for coastal/offshore sailing activities in the Gulf of Finland.

Social Activities

The club features a regular social programme that includes club evenings, member talks, and award/season-closing events in the Klubisaal. Members also benefit from discounts at the on-site restaurant and community activities surrounding regattas and marina events.
