Golf Course

Humewood is an 18-hole seaside links course, established in 1931, playing to a par of 72 and listed at 6,390 yards. The greens are bent grass, and the original layout was designed by Major S. V. Hotchkin. The course is characterized by wide undulating fairways, fast firm greens, coastal scrub rough, and notable wind influence. Several signature holes and a published hole-by-hole yardage/description are available on the club site. Tournaments and Events

Humewood has a long tournament history, including multiple South African Open Championships (notably in 1934, 1940, 1957, and 2006), the Goodyear Classic (hosted from 1984 to 1992), and various South African Amateur events. Recently, it hosted the Nelson Mandela Bay Championship/NMB Championship, which are co-sanctioned events by the Sunshine Tour and Challenge Tour in 2023 and 2024. Lessons and Instructions

Professional lessons and clinics are offered through the club pro shop. The resident instructors include Brendon Timm (AA PGA Professional) and Wiele Rademeyer (Class A Professional).
