Hawke's Bay Club

About

The club was founded on 10 October 1863 and moved to its current site in 1868. The existing clubhouse, which is Heritage Listed (Category 1), was constructed between 1904 and 1906 and has survived the 1931 Napier earthquake. The building underwent strengthening works to raise compliance to about 85% by 2012, with chimneys removed for earthquake risk in 2010. Female membership was approved in October 2022. Facilities

The club features a heritage-listed Edwardian clubhouse located on Marine Parade, which includes dining rooms, a historic billiard room with two full-size tables, function and event spaces, on-site catering facilities, members' areas, and limited on-site guest rooms. Venue Hire
