About

The Durban Club, originally founded as the D’Urban Club on 14 June 1854, features an Edwardian clubhouse located on Durban’s Victoria Embankment, offering views of the harbour. The current clubhouse was initiated in 1900 and completed in January 1904. Women were admitted as full members in July 1994, and the club has a long recorded history through the 19th and 20th centuries.
