Donalda Club

A golf lifestyle club offering golfing facilities and social events.

Founded in 1960, the club is a member-based country club centered on an 18-hole championship parkland golf course routed through the Don River valley, redesigned by Thomas McBroom with greens rebuilt to USGA standards and reopened in 2014.

It offers year‑round golf programming with PGA of Canada professionals, four indoor simulators, junior development, tennis, a lifeguarded outdoor pool, a renovated fitness centre with classes and personal trainers, and multiple dining venues.

Club History

The club opened to members in late 1960, with the first nine holes playable in 1961. It was originally created by Canadian professional Jimmie Johnstone. Course improvements and a redesign by Thomas McBroom began in 1994, and the greens were rebuilt to USGA standards, reopening in 2014. Golf Courses

Golf Program

The club offers year-round golf programming, which includes junior camps and development programs such as Little Birdies and Eagles, as well as junior playing lessons. The club maintains an active social calendar that includes various dining events such as buffets, wine socials, and Sunday prime-rib nights. Wellness Facilities

Fitness Services

The recently renovated Fitness Centre has floor-to-ceiling windows and operates approximately from 5:00 to 22:00. It features four personal trainers and a full class schedule that includes spin, pilates, yoga, aqua-fit, interval training, and cardio kick-boxing. Event Spaces

The club provides multiple private and banquet spaces for meetings and celebrations, including the Log Room, Dunlap Room, and Donalda Room, which can accommodate up to approximately 150 guests for banquets. There is also a second-floor Boardroom that seats 22 and is equipped with audio/visual equipment. Dining Experiences

Members can choose from five distinct dining options, ranging from fine dining in the Log Room to casual dining in the Willow and Sun Rooms, as well as an outdoor patio.
