Círculo de la Unión de Burgos

History

The Círculo de la Unión de Burgos traces its origins to cafés on the Paseo del Espolón around 1872. Local societies merged, specifically the Sociedad la Amistad and El Círculo Recreativo, and in 1881 formed the Círculo de la Unión. The society expanded its property holdings in 1922 and is recognized as one of Spain’s oldest recreational and cultural societies.
