Country Club of Rochester

History

Founded in 1895, the Country Club of Rochester (CCR) is one of the region’s oldest private clubs. Its 18-hole course was laid out and later redesigned by Donald Ross, with further work by Robert Trent Jones, Arthur Hills, and a 2004 restoration by Gil Hanse. CCR has a long competitive pedigree, having hosted major national events including the U.S. Women’s Open in 1953 and 1973, as well as other USGA and AJGA championships.
