History
Club Canottieri Roggero di Lauria traces its origins to the Club Nautico Palermo (founded 1899) and was renamed Real Club Nautico Roggero di Loria in 1902. From 1906, it became Reale Società Canottieri Roggero di Lauria. The Club’s Villa (Villa Lauria) has served as the institutional seat since 1964 and has a long tradition in rowing and other nautical sports in Mondello, Palermo.

The Club runs an active social and cultural programme, which includes conferences, book presentations, film and cultural evenings, regular social dinners, and club events. The Villa enforces a dress standard, prohibiting access with shorts.

Family and Children
The Club offers family- and child-focused programs, including a summer 'Tempo d’Estate' program for children aged 4 to 12, which features sports activities and sailing/rowing/swimming instruction. There is also a youth rowing school for ages 9 to 18 and weekend/seasonal youth courses. Sunday lunches at Villa allow the presence of children under specific rules. The Statuto provides for the admission of minors as Frequentatori, with automatic conversion to Socio Ordinario upon reaching majority.
Youth Programs
Structured youth courses include Scuola Vela, Scuola Windsurf (Kids Week), Scuola di Canottaggio e Coastal Rowing, and Scuola di Nuoto for children. Use of Club premises and equipment is reserved for Soci and Frequentatori in good standing with payment of social dues. Membership Joining

Guest Access
Guest access is regulated; each Socio may invite up to two guests for restaurant services, with authorization by the President or Deputy possibly required. Children are admitted at specified services. Guests and visiting members from affiliated clubs can use facilities under reciprocity rules, and any damage caused by a guest is charged to the hosting Socio. Reservations for dining are required.
Affiliations
The Club maintains reciprocity agreements with other Italian clubs, including historic agreements with Club Nautico Rimini and Circolo Antico Tiro a Volo dei Parioli. It also participates in collaborative regatta initiatives.
