Calgary Petroleum Club

About

The Calgary Petroleum Club was founded in the late 1940s, with its formal launch on January 21, 1949. The club merged with the Renfrew Club in 1950 and moved to its current address at 319 5 Avenue SW in 1958. Notably, the club voted to admit women in 1989 and was granted a coat of arms in 1991. Facilities

The club features an indoor clubhouse with 15 private function and dining rooms, including the Devonian Ballroom, McMurray Room, Renfrew Lounge, Wine Cellar, Sports Lounge, and others. Dining

The club offers a full food and beverage program with breakfast, lunch, and dinner services. Dining spaces include the McMurray Dining Room, Renfrew Lounge, Wine Cellar, and Forester’s, which caters to both casual and formal dining. The in-house culinary team is led by Executive Chef Joanna Astudillo, and the club boasts an award-winning wine cellar with a collection of approximately 15,000 bottles. Events

The club maintains a published events calendar and runs recurring member events such as Member Mixer, Leaders & Mentors Luncheon, and various holiday and family events. Special events include seasonal seafood buffets, wine-themed dinners, and holiday brunches.

The club provides a complimentary Business Centre equipped with computers, printers, phones, and Wi-Fi. Additional services include the Brew 319 Work Bar for drop-in work and multiple meeting and boardroom options with enhanced audiovisual capabilities.
