Foundation Clubs are a small group of leading reciprocal clubs invited to help shape Affinet for Clubs — in return for preferential pricing and a more direct role in the service’s development.
This is not a discount scheme. It is a partnership offered to clubs whose reciprocal networks are substantial, diverse, and operationally demanding.
What a Foundation Club is
A Foundation Club works closely with Affinet to improve real-world workflows: reciprocal listings, club profile accuracy, and digital letters of introduction.
You bring experience and practical feedback from a high-usage reciprocal environment. We bring the infrastructure and the maintenance burden.
Why this matters
Clubs with large reciprocal networks experience the pain first: outdated lists, member friction, and constant administrative exceptions.
Foundation Clubs help us build the best possible service for the clubs that need it most — and set the standard for how reciprocal access should work.
Eligibility (typical)
- 50+ reciprocal clubs, or a demonstrably large reciprocal programme
- Network diversity across club types and regions (not a single narrow category)
- Operational maturity — clear reciprocal expectations and active use by members
- Willingness to collaborate on feedback and refinement during rollout
Selection
Foundation Club status is awarded at Affinet’s discretion. We prioritise clubs whose reciprocal networks are both significant and varied, and who can contribute meaningfully to service refinement.
We keep the programme intentionally small to ensure Foundation Clubs receive real attention and influence — not a badge with no substance.
What Foundation Clubs receive
- Preferential pricing for Affinet for Clubs
- Priority onboarding and setup support
- Direct input into product improvements and roadmap decisions
- Early access to new reciprocal tools as they are introduced
- Recognition as a Foundation Club (where appropriate and desired)
What we ask in return
- Practical feedback from real use, not hypothetical opinions
- Reasonable access to an administrator contact for refinement and review
- Help validating reciprocal workflows, particularly letters of introduction
- Standards input on what “good” looks like for club profiles and reciprocal presentation
A prestige partnership, not an offer
Foundation Club status is intended for clubs that take reciprocal hospitality seriously and want the infrastructure to match. The goal is to set a higher standard — for members, for administrators, and for the network as a whole.
